Why do we need to study Indian History?

It is very important to study History of India as it tells us how, when, and where people developed the earliest Cultures of India. By studying them all, we will come to know the amazing faces like how Agriculture came into existence, how languages were introduced, how our ancient Indians discovered and utilised natural resources, how they managed finance, how they started ruling the people etc.
But why do we know them all? I will explain you why ::

1. Studying history helps us to identify mistakes that occurred in the past. By knowing this we can easily not repeat them. 
2. In olden days there was no proper transportation. Travellers may have died in the middle of their journey. Travellers write their observations that are found different from different places across the world. Knowing them today may lead to unknown theories that are not discovered till now. Why do we need to mainly concentrate on Travelers ? You may think history is also written by the kingdoms themselves. Right? But no - most of the history may not be written by them. It is because for them their plants & strategies would seem common to them. So we learn correct and more history from Travelers.
